Home and school support for autistic 3rd grader with broken leg
Posted by Jennifer W. on 1/20/2025
- $15.00 - $50.00 per hour
Hi!
Our autistic 3rd grade son broke his leg fairly badly in gym class and is newly-confined to a wheelchair with a long cast (upper thigh to toes).
We are still in the process of seeing what supports the school district will provide, but if they do nothing, we will need help with transportation, tutoring, and possibly even assisting during the school day. If we are able to get support from the school during the day, we still would love to have some regular time each day to help with transportation and overall management (both us parents are fairly disabled as well, with full time jobs).
I will update this job posting with more specifics as we learn more about what we will need, but I wanted to put it out there to start seeing who might be available/interested and start making connections sooner than later.
Many thanks,
Jennifer
(P.S. Must be OK with dogs - we have one)
