Our family is looking for a long-term sitter anticipated for 3-4 years. This may be a great opportunity for a student.
Service Requirements:
Our two children are 11 and 8. Our younger child has some special needs and is homeschooled. Would like daytime help engaging with our younger kid through games (imaginative play, video games, etc.). We’re hoping to find someone that has some experience working with kids with special needs and/or is training to go into special Ed, occupational, speech or other therapies (not ABA). Opportunities to get training directly from our child’s integrated therapy group as well.
At minimum, you need to be very patient, be willing to learn how to support our kiddos, and believe that undesired behaviors are coming from a place of need, not taking things personally. Must be LGBTQ-friendly.
We also have a cat for allergy awareness.
