Looking for an enthusiastic person to join a team of caregivers who help my adult intellectually disabled son live independently in his own home. He lives in an intentional community in Ann Arbor, MI. There are many social opportunities provided by his community. He has no physical disability, but needs transportation and supervision at his volunteer jobs, at his music and dance lessons. He also does art and horseback riding. At home he needs help with shopping, cooking and light housework. He also needs companionship and creativity to help him learn new things. No experience is required, and training is provided. The money for funding his staffing is provided through our local Community Mental Health so there are trainings required through them which are free. CPR and first aid are also required and will be paid for the applicant. The shifts available now are evenings, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday and every other Saturday.
