We are looking for a neurodiversity affirming person that can come be a mentor to our 12 year old son, play with him, and help him find ways to entertain himself. He seems to need body doubling in order to attempt many activities, due to autistic burnout. He requires quite a lot of patience, as his disability manifests in impulsivity and fight/flight response. He can be very clever and kind and fun to be around. We are looking for supervision for a few hours a day while we wait for his clinic to have a spot with another provider. Awareness of nervous system disability and open mindedness is a major plus. Someone to accompany him outside like on his bike or on walks would be appreciated. Would also be interested if you could provide game schooling or hidden educational moments.
