Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and organized House Manager to join our household in Seattle. This is a full-time position responsible for managing household operations, ensuring a clean and organized environment, preparing meals, and supporting childcare needs. We are a warm and busy family of four living in NE Seattle. Both parents work full-time (hybrid), and our two school-aged children (ages 10 and 8) are active and engaged in school and extracurricular activities. Our home includes two friendly cats, so comfort around pets is important. We are looking for someone to help keep our household running smoothly, allowing us to focus on our family time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily housekeeping tasks, including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining household organization.
- Manage household supplies and inventory, ensuring timely restocking.
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals for the family, accommodating dietary preferences or restrictions.
- Provide childcare support, including school pickups/drop-offs, activity supervision, and occasional evening care.
- Coordinate with external vendors or service providers as needed (e.g., maintenance, repairs, deliveries).
- Ensure a safe and welcoming home environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a house manager or in a similar role.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to multitask and proactively prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in meal planning and preparation.
- Comfortable working with children and engaging in childcare activities.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Knowledge of email and calendaring skills
- First aid/CPR certification is a plus.
