My father, Jim, is in the middle stage of dementia. He was a professor of ancient history for 50 years. Mild mannered and kind, he prefers to be in the company of others, though is quite shy. He is able bodied, but has balance issues. He needs help with tasks of daily living. In particular, we are looking for someone to assist with personal grooming like shaving, nail trimming, showering, and getting ready for bed. At the moment, he requires patient and kind prompting, with guidance at every step.

We are looking for someone to assist us with the nighttime shower routine 3 days a week, in addition to a few hours of companion care on Sunday afternoons.
