Hi there potential caretakers! interpret his requests since he is unable to vocally communicate his needs. This takes time with him to fully understand, I know. So, hopefully we can find someone that is willing to put in that effort. He is learning to communicate using an AAC device (a speech generating device on an iPad), and has some skills with communicating in that method. Our caretaker must feel comfortable with managing tantrums and behavioral concerns when Christian is dysregulated. Knowledge of sensory systems and sensory regulatory tools/toys would be tremendous, as we have swings, crash pads, and fidgets galore to aid in regulating Christian.

I most likely only need a caretaker for him on Tuesdays from 3:50pm-6:30 p.m. while I am attend a class for my master's program, but that could change in the future. It would be extra wonderful if potential caregivers have experience working in speech therapy, occupational therapy, and/or special education.
