My Father moved into my home yesterday. He moved to Windsor VA from Florida. We are dealing with catheters, enlarged prostate and possibly dementia. I need help. He has been in and out of the hospital and rehab facilities in FL for almost 2 months. I need someone who can help me with catheter care, memory care, vitals, medications, washing and keeping my Dad safe. He currently has began to walk again and physical therapy is also important. He is very calm the majority of the time and has a good sense of humor. I prefer to have 1 person who helps so Dad will be familiar with the person every time care comes to the home. He needs consistency. The process right now is finding some help, prevention of the constant UTIs and enlarged prostate, and to establish a baseline and get him to a neuro psychologist to find out if we are dealing with a cognitive disease as well.
