Full-time caregiver needed in Goochland County for 23yo male with high-fuctioning autism, developmental delay, Tourette's, and respiratory-arrest type epilepsy. Appilcant must be able to pass a background check, have their own transportation, be a non-smoker, be ok with large dogs (young man has companion animal), and possess a certification in medical administration that legally allows them to administer (potentially multiple) doses of life-saving rectal medication as needed in the event of respiratory-arrest type seizure. Applicant must be strong and able bodied so as to be able to reposition client from seat in the car or chair/sofa to the ground/floor in order to secure airway during a seizure as well as position client for the safe adminitration of rectal medication. Client is 248 pounds. History handling complex, life-threatening medical situations a plus! Hours are variable and pay is handled through a State supervised organization.
