Looking for after school care for a 8-year-old with high functioning autism. He is extremely intelligent, with a love for science, building/construction, space, and engineering. He's a curious and funny boy who loves reading (novels about dragons are current fave!). We would need someone to pick him up from school, drive him home, prepare a snack, and then supervise him for a few hours at the end of the day. He is generally very independent, and often reads or plays on his own.

Ideal candidate would be patient and thoughtful, and have experience with kids with ADHD/ASD and related behaviors (such as inflexibility or impulsivity), or an interest in related subject areas (such as a nursing, social work, or psychology student or special education teacher).

Schedule is still being determined, but we are currently looking for someone with 4-5 days per week availability.
