Hi there! I am a solo parent to an amazing 8 year old boy with Down syndrome. I am looking for summer care for the work day. I work part-time and would need care 2 days a week from 8:30-2:30. Days of the week are pretty flexible as I have back up care for the other days of the week.
Calvin is fun and silly and loves to play but still requires 1-1 care. He is potty trained but needs reminders when to potty and help dressing afterwards. He is becoming more independent but still needs assistant with most activities. He will self feed but cannot cook or prepare food on his own.
His care would mainly take place at our home but I would like his caregiver to take him outside, to the park, to get lunch, little outings like that.
A clean driving history is required and someone who has worked with people with special needs is preferred but not required. This is seasonal work- just for the summer.
He is a joy to be around and all his caregivers in the past have really loved working with him!
