Occasional Babysitting for 5 year-old PDA Autistic boy.

We have a vibrant, outgoing, smart 5 year-old boy. He has the PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) profile of Autism. Though he excels in some areas, he has a lot of "behavioral" struggles due to a hyper-sensitive nervous system.

Some light research on PDA may be helpful in deciding if this is a good option. We are very low-demand at home and have a lot of flexibility in our structure to best support his regulation.

Time spent with him in our home could be anything from imaginative play, to just relaxing with him while he watches Youtube. Light meal/snack prep and aiding him in typical daily tasks will be expected.

Once you both are comfortable enough, he would love to be taken on little adventures. Whether it be the park, library, or museums. He loves to be out and about to socialize and play.

We do have a medium/large dog, very mild tempered and friendly. No pet care will be expected of you.

If this sounds like a good fit for you, we look forward to hearing from you!
