Posted by Sheila H. on 12/16/2024

  • $18.00 per hour

My daughter is special needs with a dual disability of down syndrome/autism, she is also nonverbal and incontinent. The care she requires is bathroom hygiene, ques with verbal and visual prompting, and eloping issues. She likes to sit on the couch to watch cartoons or be read to, gentle neck or hand massages for calming stimulation, and independent playing with toys. She makes continual stimming noises and will walk around the house. The main objective is to make her comfortable during these shifts.
She gets hyper fixated on food and will try to open cupboards or get you to feed her when she is not hungry.
