Description:
We are seeking a compassionate individual to serve as a Community Habilitation Worker for Alanii, a delightful 13-year-old with special needs. This is a lifetime position with no end date, providing invaluable support in her journey towards independence and personal growth.

Responsibilities:
- Assist Alanii with daily life skills, including proper hygiene routines such as brushing teeth, showering, and using the bathroom independently.
- Teach clothing organization, including hanging, folding, and putting on clothes properly.
- Aid in household chores such as vacuuming, dish washing and table cleaning.
- Guide Alanii in feeding herself and using small appliances for meal preparation.
- Help with tying shoelaces, washing and brushing hair, and other personal grooming tasks.
- Accompany Alanii to appointments for hair and nail care, as well as outdoor activities like bike riding.
- Foster social skills development and teach age-appropriate interaction with others.
- Document daily goals and activities through a designated app.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to pass background checks, fingerprinting, and drug tests as required by NYS OPWDD.
- Patience, kindness, and a genuine interest in providing companionship and guidance to Alanii.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Prior experience working with individuals with special needs preferred but not required.
