After-school/evening sitter for 4-year-old with Type 1 Diabetes in East Village

- $35.00 per hour

Hello! We are looking for an ongoing sitter for our (almost) 4-year-old daughter, Sophie, who was recently diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. She wears a continuous glucose monitor (Dexcom), which tells us her blood glucose level at all times. She will also have an insulin pump very soon, meaning the sitter will not need to give insulin injections unless the pump is not working. We will provide paid training along with the Diabetes educator team at NYU to help the sitter understand Sophie's care plan.
She attends school daily from 8 am to 2:20 pm. We need someone to pick her up at 2:20 pm, walk across the street to our apartment in Stuy Town, and stay with her until 6 pm. We would love a schedule until 8 pm at least one day a week (day/s flexible). Mom and/or dad will be home working during the after-school time, especially in the beginning, to ensure the sitter has the support and training needed.
We also have a cat named Truffles!
