Sweet non-verbal 11 year old boy, coparent mom and dad in PLG Brooklyn.

Looking for a long term caregiver for our 10 year old son Theodore. Theo is a sweet and happy child who has Angelman Syndrome. The ideal candidate will have special needs experience and be willing to work with him on his motor skills and enforcing/ encouraging alternative communication as Theo is non-verbal. He enjoys music and Broadway theatre. His current sitter will be away for the summer so we are hoping we can find someone to start with her to learn a little about him. We are looking to fill July, August, and into September with the possibility of continuing into the school year potentially.

Daily work would include arriving before the summer school bus for snack prep, afternoon activities such as park/playground walking trips, splash pad, help with homework and motor skill development, reading, arts, etc. He will need assistance in the bathroom, and some minor assistance with mobility (stability on stairs etc).
