HI! I'm Kate, a single mom of two great kids. I need help from a caregiver so I can go to my own medical appointments and occasional outings. My daughter is 13 with hydrocephalus and severe developmental disabilities including blindness and epilepsy. She is non-verbal and unable to walk without assistance. My son is 6 and is neurotypical. He adores his sister!
We are looking for someone to provide care in-home only, no transportation needs. We need occasional help (1-3 times per month) ranging from 4hrs to 8hrs depending on our needs. Days and times would vary.
Caregiver would be expected to:
-learn daughter's specific signs for things (yes, no, eat, drink, hurt)
-manage incontinence (diapering, changing clothes)
- assist with eating and drinking
- lift and transfer to the tub (child's weight 95lbs)
