I am seeking a home helper for my fiancé and me. We are both in our mid 50s and partially disabled. This position is more of an assistant than a care giver. Tasks below:
We are expecting about 4 days at 4 hour blocks each day. Therefore, a total of 16 hours/week spread across Monday – Friday. Some flexibility needed for doctor appointments runs.
• Must be able to work independently, take initiative, be flexible.
• All Laundry: we used to use Happy Nest Laundry Service. However, we have chosen to use our new wash machine/dryer and do laundry with your assistance. I have been doing the laundry since Helene and have a good system to handover to someone.
• Must have a positive attitude and not create stress or anxiety. I have an auditory processing disorder.
• Keep closets organized, fold, and hang up clothes.
• We are still sorting through combining two households into one. We need someone with organizational skills to take on disorganized just moved “style” and transition to functional and peaceful household.
• A good driving record is required. Experience driving around Asheville is helpful. We have at least 2 to 4 doctor appts per week across us bot Our cars are late model and available for the errands/tasks.
• Cat duties: Clean litter box, if we are out of town, daily drop ins at our home to replenish food & water, clean litter box, may include other minor tasks when we are out of town
• Light housekeeping, loading/unloading dishwasher. We usually just get behind in the kitchen.
• Assist with PT/OT, upper body stretching, exercising, spotting-for Eden
• Help w grocery shopping or doing so independently
• Pick up mail and packages on the way into our home.
• We need assistance driving to doctor appointments.
• In time, we may need assistance driving to a monthly infusion. This is about a 4 hour session. We will discuss this in more detail.
