Brought to you by Family Concierge: A Lovely Suwanee Family is looking for a part-time special needs caregiver. Care will be for their wonderful 10-year-old son, who is on the autism spectrum and non-verbal. The anticipated start date is early July and will continue through the summer. The hours would be flexible, but typically 3-6 pm and about 3x per week, including some weekend days.

Typical care will include engaging in age-appropriate activities to increase social/emotional development. He may also need assistance eating occasionally. He is non-verbal but uses an AAC device to type and communicate with others. He can also write or type on a typewriter to express his needs. This little guy loves to read, music, numbers, and computers. He also enjoys watching cartoons on his iPad and playing board games.

The family would love to find someone who is warm, patient, and reliable. Candidates must be comfortable with pets, as they have a friendly large dog. The ideal caregiver must also have experience with special needs, non-aggressive children. A Registered Behavior Technician or familiarity with the Rapid Prompting Method is strongly preferred!
