Looking for summer care for Type 1 Diabetic daughter
Posted by Amy L. on 4/21/2025

- $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Our 6-year-old daughter was recently diagnosed Type 1 diabetes and is insulin dependent. Because her diagnosis is still so new, her sugar levels are less predictable, and the summer camp we had signed her up for is not able to accommodate monitoring her for low blood sugar and dosing her insulin with meals. She has a continuous glucose monitor with a separate monitor to read it in real time. She takes insulin via injection after each meal.
I work remote Tues/Thur so ideally looking for someone available Monday/Wednesday 7 am - 4 pm and Fridays 7 am until 1 pm. Looking for someone CPR certified and either trained in T1D management or willing to be trained through CHOA.
She will be at Camp Kudzu the week of June 9, and we will likely be out of town the week of the 4th of July. She goes back to school August 1.
Please reach out with specifics on your experience with diabetes, your availability and any questions you may have.
Thanks!
