Madison is 15 years old and attends Anova. She is my granddaughter. She is high functioning but can't be left home alone. She receives services from North Bay Regional Services for in-home Behavioral Therapy and qualifies for respite. These services typically are from M-F 3:00 to 8:30 and S-S 10:00 to 8:00 but not every day since it's difficult for the agencies to keep staff.
I would need help around 4:00 during the week or in the evenings after the caregiver leaves until I return which can vary from 9:00pm to 12:30pm if I go to SF for a dance lesson. I am very involved in a Swing dance community and take lessons in the evening in Petaluma and occasionally San Francisco. I also go to the gym at 5:30am to 7:00am before work on nights when I don't dance. Madison would typically be sleeping or just getting up for school when I'm at the gym and either in bed or getting ready for bed if it's in the evening around 8:30.
