Part time caregiver to assist a blind, physically challenged teen

Posted by Rachel S. on 3/27/2025

  • $25.00 per hour

Looking for a part time caregiver for my teenage daughter and soon to be high school graduate with cerebral palsy who is also blind. S is a spirited kid who loves to laugh and have fun with her “assistant.”

Typical daily tasks include:
•Helping with transfers from point A to point B (ex, wheelchair to bed)
•Toileting/changing
•Showering
•Occasional light meal prep
•Homework once college classes start and potential assistance at Saddleback

Our ideal caregiver would be kind, upbeat, fun-loving, and patient with a love of music and the arts. They will also need to be healthy and able to lift 50 pounds while transferring S. Prior experience with durable medical equipment and knowledge of muscles and anatomy would be an added bonus, but not necessary. Must be CPR and First Aid certified.

Pay range is $25/hr with Approximately 10-15 hours/week on average with a very flexible schedule.
