Hi, I'm Kate. My father-in-law, Dave, is in need of a caregiver to report to his home for a few, preferably 4, hours a day, Sunday-Friday. He had a stroke, so he struggles greatly with mobility, bathing, bowel incontinence, and needs diaper changes. He can be feisty if he does get things his way, ie. food he wants (but shouldn't have), being told when to shower, etc. He does have short-term memory issues, and needs meal prep, house cleaning, and mobility assistance. He is a big man, roughly 300 lbs, so someone with strength is important. We need someone who is not a smoker. We need someone who will ensure he is abiding by taking his meds, as well as can be gently but firm, not allowing him access to things he cannot have.
