We are a dynamic and loving family in need of a compassionate and dependable Family Care Assistant. We are blind senior technical support engineers who work from home. We have two bright and energetic daughters, ages 6 and 8, who are neurodiverse with visual impairments. Additionally, my mother lives with us; she is 96 years old and has Alzheimer’s. We are seeking a caring and organized professional to help us manage our household and provide support to all family members.

Duties:

Perform household tasks, including dishes, laundry, and light housekeeping.

Run errands such as grocery shopping and picking up prescriptions.

Assist with reading mail, paperwork, and filling out print forms.

Provide attendant care and companionship for Mom.

Transport children, parents, and Mom as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

A growth mindset and curiosity to learn.

Certification or willingness to become certified to provide care through the ALTCS program.

Experience working with disabled adults, neurodiverse children, and/or elderly individuals.

Empathy, patience, and an understanding approach to creating order in a sometimes chaotic environment.

Comfort with or openness to learning basic technology skills.
