I am a twenty year old female college student attending the Moberly Area Community College, studying for an associates in health Science. I live at home, and work partially as a dog walker and for an images agency. In the past though I have worked as a server, retail associate, and camp counselor. I have babysat a few times for neighbors, but must of my child care experience was as a camp counselor in Kentucky, where I volunteered with Americorp to provide a fun and enriching camp experience to underprivileged Applachian youth. I stayed there for about two months, working with children from 6 to thriteen years old five days a week, sometimes all day at a overnight camp. Truly such an enriching experience for myself also. Other than of course receiving my CPR and First Aid certfication, and being involved in multiple training fror children, I got to further Read more expand my skills in working with children one on one and learning how to give them a fun, yet also great learning experience about good values of Christ at this Christian camp. And I even more importantly got the chance to give them a break from home, as often many of these children had challenging home lives.
