Hi families! My name is Abbey and I am 21 years old. I am originally from a small town in Nebraska, but I have now lived here in Lincoln for about 8 months. I also attended Nebraska Wesleyan here in Lincoln for another year and a half. I was intending to pursue a degree in Elementary Education my first year of college, but then changed my educational path to becoming a Psychologist. I am still continuing my education, but hope to continue my schooling online, to ensure time for a full time job. I first started my nannying experience at a young age of 15. I have nannied for the same family for almost 6 years. All ranging from the ages of newborn to middle school. That family now resides 2.5 hours away and are now at the age of not needing nanny care. My 6 year experience also comes Read more from being employed at one of the middle schools here in Lincoln, where I found myself assisting in running an after school program. Some of the activities that I was involved in was running an art and crafts club, building daily schedules for each individual, providing snack for each individual, as well as running a 30 minute exercise program. As a childcare provider, I enjoy sharing my passions for art, the outdoors and being active throughout the day. I found my passion of caring for young individuals before nannying became an opportunity for myself. My inspiration comes from having a younger sibling that I took under my wing at a young age, as well as 3 nieces that range from the ages of 1 to 4 years old. My main goal is to build and create relationships that could make an impact in young individuals and be able to be acknowledged as more than just a caregiver or nanny. I am very excited and look forward to getting the opportunity to meet you and your children!
