Hello, My actual address is in southern MN, but I spend at least 2 weeks each month caring for my 22 month old granddaughter. I retired early after spending 38 years as a special education teacher. Nine of these years were in a school serving k-2 grades. I worked 21 years as an Early Child Special Education teacher in that same school district. I continue to have my teaching degrees that include both elementary education as well several licenses in special education along with my Masters Degree. I have taken several CPR and first aid classes over the years and would be willing to get re-certified. I have had two different background I am looking for a part time nanny position for 1- 2 infants/toddlers. I am open to other options but would prefer to spend special time with one infant. I am looking for a very flexible schedule that Read more may/may not include some joint times with my granddaughter. Typically I am free all day on Tuesday’s. I am also open to nannying after 6 pm, over nights, weekends. It really needs to be flexible; yet planned so that I can accommodate my own family time. It I am open to ideas you may have as well. I have worked as a personal care attendant for a young girl for several years. We continue to stay in contact with her. She and her dad even spent Christmas with us a few times. I grew up with 8 siblings on a small farm in southeastern Minnesota, attended Luther College after graduation, and then earned additional degrees at Mankato State University and later my Masters Degree through St Mary’s University. I love spending time with young ones; engaging them in various types of play and activities that are age and developmentally appropriate. I know my schedule could be a problem, but am open to brainstorming options. A part time, evening, or weekend nanny position would be a good fit for me. I typically have Tuesdays available. If I know ahead of time I can be more flexible. Honesty and integrity are high on my list of qualities. I believe in open communication and am very intuitive to the needs of babies and young children. I love to plan and brainstorm new activities to do with young ones and try to include all of the areas of development. Little ones are definitely my love! I have had 2 different background checks via two agencies and so thus haven’t wanted to do that option here. Both checks were good! Thank you for considering me.
