Hi there! I’m a homeschooling mom to a wonderful 7 year old girl! I’m in my mid-40’s with a background working with kids in the non-profit sector. In my previous work experience, I ran an after school program for at-risk youth and a supervised visitation program for those parents court-ordered to see their kids in a supervised setting. My degree is in Human Development and Family Studies from The University of Alabama. I have taken a First Aid and CPR class many times, but am not currently certified. I’m happy to get that certification again. I eventually left the non-profit world for a DOD contractor position, which I also loved. When my daughter was born, we decided I would stay home with her. While I recognize this doesn’t work for all families, this decision has been perfect for our family. We love traveling and exploring new and favorite places in Read more the US. We are currently converting a Sprinter Van into a camper and plan to travel in it in our retirement! My husband has 4 1/2 years until that retirement begins, so I’d like to supplement our family’s income and help pay off the van as early as possible. My daughter and I love hands-on learning experiences and getting out and about in the outdoors and in our community as much as possible. I would love a part-time nanny position where I could bring my daughter. She loves babies and kids of all ages. We love going to EarlyWorks, roller skating, ice skating, Burritt, local plays, various homeschool field trips and more. We live in the downtown/Five Points area, but are willing to travel outside of our immediate area. If you feel like we might be a good fit, please send me a message.
