I have been a teacher for over 18 years with experience ranging from grades PreSchool-6. In addition, I tutor students from 3rd grade to high school and have about 4 years of experience in a nanny/babysitter role. I believe that both my expertise and passion for child development, and my commitment to contributing to their success and yours, make me an ideal candidate for your family. As an experienced educator, I am well versed in the developmental progress of children. In addition, I have experience babysitting and nannying for infants and school-aged children. I provide social emotional support for the children in my care and look out for their physical and mental well-being. From the years 2018 – the present, for a collective of about 4 years, I have had the role of nanny/babysitter. I provide activities that promote social and physical development including taking walks to enjoy the outdoors, Read more and reading books and monitoring naps. In addition, I provide social emotional strategies to support child growth. I am an organized person and apply my management skills to my class daily. I keep track of records and progress of 65 students and support their academic and social emotional needs. I plan and arrange for field trips and excursions throughout the year to enhance and stimulate them educationally and culturally. I communicate with parents efffectively and empathetically. I plan for support and accelerated learning modifications depending on the needs of the individual child. In addition to my role as a nanny/babysitter, teacher and tutor, I have two children who are in high school. I have resided in Connecticut for 18 years. Prior, I lived in Westchester County and taught there for nine years. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking and baking, fitness, reading, crafting, sewing and knitting. I take care of two pets, a Flemish Giant rabbit and a cat, and am comfortable around other pets as well. I am well versed in the work involved in the smooth operation of a household and truly find this work meditative. My strong work ethic, effective parent communication, and organization have been lauded by my employers and colleagues. As a team player, I am always willing to learn and ever ready to lend assistance. I look forward to hearing from you to further discuss how I can be a valuable contribution.
