I am a 54-year-old empty-nester and I have been providing exceptional infant childcare in the Austin area since 2020. I am kind, compassionate, energetic, curious, a life-long learner, and a true homemaker and nurturer by nature. Aside from raising my own two daughters, in my 20's and early 30's I worked in several childcare settings including two years as an infant caregiver in a daycare setting and two years caring for preschoolers in my home. As a caregiver, I am engaged, attentive, patient, and loving. I ensure that time with your child is well spent engaging in developmentally appropriate play and activities. My calling is to help others thrive. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Texas and I'm a Certified Health & Well-being Coach. I look forward to speaking with you about your childcare needs and exploring if I might be a good fit. Reference Read more available on request. Warm regards, Lucinda

Lucinda has been a dream come true for us! As first-time parents, we weren't quite ready to send our baby to childcare during the pandemic, so we asked Lucinda to come to our home several days per week. Baby always gave big smiles as soon as she arrived, which was special and definitely set us at ease :) Lucinda has so much experience and knowledge and was really attentive to our baby's development. She spent a lot of time playing with her, talking/babbling, going on walks outside, and getting her accustomed to bottle-feeding. I was especially impressed with her ability to get her down for good afternoon naps! Regarding her interactions with us, she was always punctual, communicative, and reliable. Having Lucinda for these last few months has really felt like having a family member in our home, and we couldn't be happier. We would definitely recommend her for kids of any age!
