Hello! I’m Kaelin, a passionate, reliable babysitter with 3 years of experience working with children ages 3-12 at The Wetlands Institute. I love engaging kids with hands-on activities, arts and crafts, and outdoor adventures that spark creativity and curiosity. Whether we're building something, exploring nature, or diving into a fun project, I always aim to create a warm, safe, and enriching environment. As a Marine Science and Environmental Science double major in college, I’m especially excited about inspiring kids to connect with the natural world. Over the past few years, I’ve discovered that I love creating hands-on, meaningful experiences for kids, whether it’s through outdoor games, nature-inspired projects, or colorful craft days. I’m full of creative ideas to keep children active, curious, and engaged all summer long. Plus, my mom is a teacher, so I have access to tons of materials I’d be happy to bring along! As a lifelong Read more athlete and current college field hockey player, I also love introducing kids to sports and active play. Whether we’re setting up mini obstacle courses, playing soccer in the yard, or inventing new games together, I always find fun and age-appropriate ways to get kids moving and build confidence. I also have a strong foundation in safety and wellness. I hold several CPR/First Aid Professional Rescuer, Wilderness and Remote First Aid, and Lifeguard certifications, have a reliable car with plenty of space for adventures, and am well-practiced in preparing wholesome, homemade meals (I do all my own meal prep!). You can count on me to provide not only a nurturing, fun environment, but also one that’s safe, clean, and thoughtfully structured. Additionally, I genuinely enjoy light housekeeping tasks like tidying up, organizing, and laundry. I’m also very pet-friendly, having four dogs of my own, I’m completely comfortable with furry family members and happy to help with their care too. I’m often described as passionate, determined, and friendly, with the ongoing joke that I’m never seen without a smile on my face! I believe my most valuable quality is the way my passion and positivity shine through in everything I do. I’m dependable, adaptable, and always looking for new ways to help kids grow and thrive.
