I love working with children, and have done so for the last 5-6 years. I began minding children occasionally when I was 18, then coached a running club for 5th grade girls while in college. After graduating from the University of Washington with a Bachelor's in Dance, I took my first job as a live-in nanny in Seattle. This family had 2 girls and 1 boy; Nina (age 3), Calvin (7), and Macie (9). I lived with and worked for this family for 2 years. While living with this family, I also began coaching a gymnastics team at the local high school. These girls were between the ages of 14-18. I still coach this team seasonally. Unfortunately, my Seattle family no longer needed a nanny as the mother was able to reduce her work hours. I then took a temporary au pair position with a family in Ireland for 3 Read more months. My Irish family had 2 boys, ages 6 & 8. They were quite a handful, but they taught me patience, confidence, and the importance of communication. I have now returned to Seattle, and live with a cousin to occasionally help care for her two boys, ages 3 & 4. I love being in a home with children! They make the little day-to-day things so much more fun.
