As you can see, my name is Chelsea. I am unmarried with no children. My professional history is as follows: In 2011, I started working as a live-in nanny to a newborn and a 4-year-old in 2011 (I moved to Lafayette, LA where I was enrolled in college). After 5 years with that family, I had to move back to Houston for health reasons. I then worked as a nanny for a 3-month-old and 18-month-old for 2 years, then for 10 months with a 18-month-old and a 10-year-old. (I left after 10 months because the husband/father lost his job and decided they couldn't afford childcare any longer). As you can tell by that employment history, I have stayed with all but 1 of my previous families for well over a year. This sets it up so I formed close-knit bonds with each of the families. My primary goal/motto/whatever you want Read more to call it has, and will always be, to treat your child[ren] as you would whenever you aren't able to be present yourself. Parents cant be there 24/7, they have to go to work, grocery shop and exercise; all of which are exponentially easier to do without a young child[ren] in tow. Separation anxiety effects parents as much as it does children so my other primary goals is to make the transition as easy as possible for both parent and baby. I would do this by making every effort to get your child to look forward to the time they spend with me. That way, after the first couple times, you won’t have to listen to your flesh and blood scream for 20 minutes every day before and after I leave how much they hate me/when you leave. I’d just like to end things by saying if you give me the honor of not only allowing me into your home but you and child’s lives. I would make every possible effort to prove to you daily that you were right to trust me with your child[ren].
