My passion for working with children and caring for babies is deeply rooted in my personal experiences and professional journey. Growing up, I had the opportunity to take care of my cousin's baby from 6 months to 1 year old, which sparked my love for nurturing young children. I’ve always believed that the early years of life are critical for a child’s development, and I love being able to contribute positively to that growth. Whether it's soothing a baby to sleep, engaging in play, or simply being a comforting presence, there's nothing more fulfilling to me than providing attentive, loving care. In addition to my hands-on caregiving experience with my cousin’s baby, my academic and professional background has given me a unique perspective on child development. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a focus on Neuroscience and Developmental Psychology, and during my studies, I was particularly drawn to Read more understanding how early experiences shape brain development. I have also worked with children in volunteer roles, such as leading the Urban Food Project’s educational programs where I taught elementary school students about sustainability and healthy living. These experiences, coupled with my caregiving role, have honed my ability to be both attentive and proactive in meeting the needs of young children. This knowledge allows me to approach child care with scientific insight, understanding the importance of early developmental milestones. Additionally, I am trained in basic first aid and infant CPR, ensuring that I am equipped to handle any emergency situations that may arise. I am also highly organized, with experience managing tasks and creating structured environments for children, which helps foster a sense of safety and security. I’m comfortable preparing meals, maintaining routines, and engaging children in stimulating activities. My background in science also means I can provide educational enrichment in age-appropriate ways, helping children develop curiosity and cognitive skills through play. My combination of practical childcare experience, scientific knowledge, and nurturing temperament makes me an ideal sitter for children at various stages of development. I am patient, responsible, and dedicated to providing a safe and enriching environment for children. Whether it’s helping a baby explore the world around them or providing care for older children, I always strive to make every experience enjoyable and educational.
