Victoria here, pleasure! As far as my education goes, I have my AA in Arts and Humanities from Merced College and am only 3 units short of receiving a BA in English, emphasis in Literature, from CSU Stanislaus. I am bilingual- with advanced fluency in English and Spanish. Of note is my most recent position as Daycare/Preschool Caregiver at Pac Heights Kidz in San Francisco. In this role, I was responsible for providing the best care for young children ages one to three. My responsibilities included but were not limited to: welcoming the little ones and checking them into our program, either preparing breakfast or assisting in feeding the young ones, leading a morning circle time in Spanish, keeping a watchful eye on the kids while playing outdoors, changing diapers and potty-training accordingly, teaching Spanish through assorted activities enabling the kids to interact amongst themselves, and anything in-between if it Read more involved alternating roles, in no particular order, from lead teacher, housekeeping, to support. Although curriculum was implemented, a lot more nurture was in place given the children were on average, two-year-olds. I am able to communicate well with others—please rest assured I’ll send periodic updates of your little one(s). I am also quite familiar working with children as I grew up the daughter of two elementary school teachers. In addition to working hands-on at Pac Heights Kidz, I also worked weekdays and weekends babysitting for a few of the children whose parents needed extra help due to leisure and/or business commitments. I currently work for three Care families, six children altogether, and ages varying from 16 months-9 years old. I discovered through babysitting I would indeed, love to become a parent myself someday. I also learned that children are in fact the key to a bright future and that through proper caring, nurturing and dedicated teaching as well as babysitting, we can continue in attaining just that. Children can be hesitant and shy when taken care of, so it is up to a responsible adult to encourage their personal growth and ideas, and support them, through means of academia, sensory and visual activities, in ensuring their timely progress as they grow. It is truly amazing to see young children grow- in every sense of the word, through a little care, love and tenderness. It makes me feel whole and happy to be a part of this process.
