Hello! Bailey here! A little bit about myself right off the bat, I am passionate about animal care and am attending The Animal Behavior Institute in order to professionally understand all forms of animal behavior/handling/training and nutrition. I truly realized my love for animal care as a career when I was working for Heart of the Valley. I spent my days creating emotional rehabilitation plans for the dogs and cats who were experiencing discomfort in their new temporary home, I actively learned to not only be the best animal care specialist I could, but how to take that type of patience, communication, and adaptability into my everyday life. I grew an immense amount of self love and understanding from working for HOV, and I think of the amazing people and animals there often. During these unfortunate Covid-19 times, I spend a majority of my free time trying a variety of Read more DIY projects, learning better cooking techniques, doing daily yoga, reading my current book (The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle), and creating better habits for myself by establishing a solid routine. Though 2020 has effected so many lives in a negative way, I do try to see the bright side, and am thankful for the ample opportunities to improve ingrained habits and get organized in ways that will always be helpful to your future self. I have 8 years of child care experience, I was a nanny to a wonderful little girl for 3 years, I was with her when she was born up until she was 3. I love her and her family, and have kept up with them over the years, whenever I go back to my hometown of Idaho Falls, ID, I spend time with this now 7 year old as much as I can. I was the go-to childcare support for 4 families. I have experience in how to work with children with autism, ADHD, and disabilities. I would say that my approach on being a nanny is this; I'm not the type of person that will just let them be on their devices or watch tv, I care about their developing brain and social life. I want to teach the kids in my life how to think for themselves, how to be respectful, have patience and empathize with those around them. I want your kids to be able to rely on me when they need me, and to encourage them how to rely on themselves. I want your kids to succeed in their endeavors and to feel proud of themselves when they accomplish their goals.
