Hello! My name is Imani Donovan. I am a 25-year-old single, Christian woman who lives in Ohio. I have been in childcare for 5 going on 6 years now, and it is one thing in life that I would love to do for the rest of my life. Throughout my first year at college, I really didn't know who I was, or what I was good at, but taking care of kids really helped me to finally understood where my calling was. I had so much fun, gained so many new friends and memories, and helped to foster the spiritual growth of so many kids. It truly was a rewarding experience that I decided to go back every year for, until I graduated. I decided to stay as a volunteer in the nursery at my college campus for all four years as well. Often babysitting for a family a few Read more times a month for four years. And now, I am a Sunday School Teacher at House of Praise International for 4th to 5th graders, all of whom I love dearly and look forward to seeing each month. I have an assortment of interests that range from theological discussion, anime, books, musicals, music, sports, history, arts and crafts, games, movies, etc. I earned awards in business competitions and was in the honors program. I enjoy reading, writing, music, working out, cooking, and drawing. I can swim, and I am CPR/First Aid/ and AED trained for both children and adults. I played the violin for 8 years and the piano for 2 years in college. I am an energetic and easy-going person who enjoys having fun, but I also know when it's time to be serious. I believe that I have balanced out the narrow line of being fun/goofy with being authoritative and attentive. Both of which need to be a part of childcare to a certain extent for kids to not only trust you, but to respect you as well. I would make a great babysitter because I am passionate about working with children and fostering their growth in a safe and engaging environment. In my current role as a Sunday School Teacher, I have adapted my teaching strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of individual students, ensuring their engagement and comprehension. I have also facilitated discussions to deepen students' understanding of religious subjects and supported their spiritual development. These experiences have reinforced strong relationship-building, communication, and leadership abilities, which I believe are essential for a successful babysitter.
