Guissel has been babysitting for our almost-4 year old daughter for a month or so now. She has been over several times now. She is wonderful! She's very warm, affectionate and playful. My daughter really likes her and is very comfortable with her. She is always very responsive when I text or call, always on time and professional, and always very engaged with my daughter. She has kids of her own, so she clearly understands our daughter's needs, stages, etc. She is nurturing and playful but at the same time provides structure and rules for our daughter. A good balance. Definitely the best sitter we have had!

I am very happy to have found Milagros to help with my girls. I have three very high-energy girls from age 2 to 10 that are moving non-stop and she is able to keep up with all of them. She independently finds things to do with them like coloring, going to the playground, play dough and running games without me having to ask. I love that she has a lot of energy to play with the girls and have fun. The 2 and 3 year old are often asking when their "friend" Milagros is coming over to play. After the interview she was able to start immediately and always returns my calls promptly when I've had to change the schedule. I really appreciate how flexible she is for short notice sitting or if I am late returning to the house. She loves kids and I feel she give the same attention to my girls that she gives to her boys. Seemed very motivated/enthusiastic at the interview, almost to the point of being pushy. Said she would follow up with us the following day regarding whether she wanted to take the job. We didn't hear from her for several days, and she did not return our calls for four days. When she did call then, it was to say she took another job....

Tuve que conseguir alguien que cuidara a mi hijo de urgencia por una semana y Milagros me ayudó no solo con su asistencia, sino también a encontrar una persona que me ayudara en los días que ella ya tenía ocupados. Mi hijo va a daycare, pero si necesitara alguien en casa definitivamente me quedaría con Milagros. Como trabajé desde casa, pude ver el cariño, paciencia y dedicación con que Milagros trató a mi bebé de casi un año. Además él la pasó genial y se divirtió mucho! I had to get someone to look after my son for a week, and Milagros not only helped me with their assistance, but also find someone to help me in the days that she was already busy. My son goes to a daycare, but if I’d need someone at home, I would definitely choose Milagros. Since I worked from home that week, I could see the love, patience and dedication with which Milagros treated my 1 year old baby. He really enjoyed playing with her!

Guissell has been the most loving caregiver we could ever hope for. She has helped us out for almost a year, and we consider her like family! She showers our son with love, and offers consistent, patient guidance. She is very reliable, and has been there for us at a moment's notice. She has proudly shared her language and her Peruvian culture with our son, and as a result he is as fluent in Spanish as he is in English. It has been a gift. She also has two beautiful boys, and we have encouraged her to bring them as often as possible. As a result our son has wonderful, polite playmates. Our son is transitioning into preschool so we don't need her for as many hours, but she will always be the first person we turn to watch our son. We can't recommend her more as a trustworthy, loving and intelligent caregiver.

Milagros is a wonderful caregiver. She has taken care of my two boys, ages 3 and almost 2. She is eager to please, very kind, clean, professional, and always attentive to my kids. Because I work from home some days, I have had the pleasure of seeing Milagros interact with my kids. She gets down on the floor with the kids and plays games, sings songs to them, reads books with them, engages them in coloring/painting and playdo. And you wouldn't even know that the kids smeared playdo into the carpet or drew on the walls with crayons because she cleans it all up before she leaves. She prepares healthy meals for the kids that they just gobble up. She takes them for walks and plays with them in the backyard--always puts sunblock on them and makes sure that they are wearing weather appropriate attire (not too hot, not too cold). When the kids come back in, she washes their hands and cleans them up, even changes their clothes to freshen them up. Whatever the kids are doing, she encourages exploration and sensory development. What astonishes me is how she can get both of my boys down for a nap, one right after the other. I actually get 2 hours of peace in my house and the kids get their much needed rest. I can't tell you how many diapers she has changed, and she never complains. The days that I work in the office, I don't think twice about leaving my kids with her because I know they are in good hands. She is very aware of chocking hazards and has had first aid training and CPR certification. She quickly learned how my household ran, so she was able to run it in my absence. My boys love her very much and she has become a part of our family watching the kids daily, babysitting for date night, and cleaning once a week. My boys are moving on to preschool so we will be sad for Milagros to go, but we know she will make another family feel as comfortable and cared for as she has for us. She never treated this as a job, but a career, one that she put all her heart into.
