Hello my name is Lisbeth Lorena Flores and I have over 20 years experience in taking care of infants and toddlers. I'm a naturalized US citizen originally from Guatemala. Growing up I was helping my older sisters in taking care of their children and when I came to the US in the 90's I continue to work as a sitter. My English is good my downside is that I'm unable to write in English but can communicate without any difficulty but I'm fluent in Spanish. If allowed I wouldn't mind teaching the kids I help raise learn Spanish too! As a mother of twins and children close in age, I'm able to handle two children at a time if needed. I enjoy working with new parents in helping in raising their child. I'm a bit of a helicopter parent in regards of newborns as they need constant attention, and love Read more to keep all the children I help raise clean, actively engaged and happy. Despite their young age babies do need to have routine to which I like helping parents in making a routine and more importantly keeping it consistent. I respect the lifestyles/ cultural differences parents may have with my own and help in adjusting their infants to the family culture and rules. Children 3-6 months older if allowed I enjoy to take them on walks and if possible to local libraries or parks so they get more comfortable seeing other people and expand their world! When I play with infants I like to make exaggerated facial features and expressions to introduce basic body reading skills while making it fun. I sing and dance with the kids so they are encourage to sing and dance as well. If a child under my care needs medication I don't mind in accommodating and ensure they are taking it when needed. I had help raise a children in autism in the past (both were mild autism) with the support parents. receive in taking them to specialists. In the past five years I work with three families and all the families I've worked in the past have been wonderful experiences with the children and parents alike. In working with new parents I was presented chances in giving advice when needed and with mutual respect sometimes parents listen to me or we choose to agree to disagree- as long there's respect and communication everything goes well. If interested in giving me a chance please reach out to me! Thank you Lorena PS: I had a CPR/ First Aid certificate but I'm in the process of renewing it.
