Hi, my name is Jane Shaver Shue! I am 24 years old and a born and raised local of Carolina Beach, NC. Childcare has been a significant part of my life for over eleven years. I began babysitting at the age of 12 and continued throughout high school. During college, I worked as a summertime nanny for a family with three children for four years. Concurrently, I managed an online art school, where I taught K-4 students multiple days a week. After obtaining my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at UNC Charlotte with a concentration in illustration in the spring of 2022, I spent seven months as an AuPair in the Virgin Islands, caring for three young children (an infant, a two-year-old, and a seven-year-old) before returning to Wilmington in January of 2023 to pursue my Master of Arts in Teaching with a specialization in Art Education at UNC Wilmington. Read more Now, as I have graduated from my master’s program and am preparing to start my career as an art teacher in the fall, I am eager to spend my summer working with children again! My extensive experience in childcare, combined with my educational background and passion for art, makes me confident in providing a nurturing, creative, and engaging environment for your child. My roles as a nanny, AuPair, and children's art instructor have equipped me with the skills to manage multiple children of various ages, plan educational and recreational activities, and address any challenges with patience and, of course, creativity!
