Hi! My name is Amanda, and I am a dedicated and enthusiastic sitter who genuinely loves working with children. I am currently a third-year college student double majoring in Pre-Law and Economics. My main objective is providing an experience where children can feel happy, safe, and supported in moments without their typical parental care. Growing up in San Francisco as the eldest in a family of 12, I have been caring for children ranging from toddlers to teenagers since I could walk. This upbringing instilled a natural ability to connect with kids, manage multiple responsibilities, and adapt to a variety of needs. During college, I have continued babysitting through my sorority, Delta Gamma, and have built lasting relationships within families of the community. My experience with children extends beyond babysitting. I have volunteered at my school library to assist children with learning disabilities, such as ADHD or dyslexia, assisting in Read more writing essays or other academic literary tasks such as editing papers. I also have a history of tutoring in subjects like biology, health science, grammar, and math up to Calculus III. These roles have subsequently taught me patience, empathy, and the importance of fostering confidence in children. Additionally, I’m passionate about providing healthy and delicious meals with my family's background in restaurants. I specialize in creating nutritious meal preps tailored to specific dietary needs that can be beneficial for growing kids or accommodating to picky eaters. I also have my own car, which makes transportation easy, and I’m a huge animal lover with two dogs of my own. Being a sitter allows me to combine my love for children with my diverse skill set. Whether it’s helping with homework, transportation, engaging in fun activities, or providing a nurturing environment, I strive to be someone your family can trust and depend on.
