Hi, my name is Peyton. I'm 19 years old, I attend Palomar College online and I'm currently working towards an A.S. degree in Child and Adolescent Development. I've completed 16 Early Childhood Education (E.C.E.) units and am currently enrolled in 12 more. I am also currently working at a childcare facility working with children aged infants to school-aged, including children with disabilities. I have multiple years of experience at my church providing childcare, teaching, and volunteering in multiple capacities with children aged infant through high school. I was also a counselor in training at summer camp and have experience working with children with disabilities as a volunteer at Wylde Horses, a therapeutic riding facility. In addition, I took American Sign Language I & II at Palomar and know basic sign language, which is something that I hope to use when communicating with infants/toddlers and kids with disabilities. I am CPR Read more and first aid certified and have attended multiple work trainings regarding nutrition & safety. The E.C.E. college classes I have completed include: Prep for Child Development Majors, Guidance for Young Children, Using Sign in Early Childhood Education, Child Growth & Development, Intro to Children with Disabilities, Child, Family, & Community, and Health, Safety, & Nutrition. Moreover, classes I'm currently enrolled in include: Infant Toddler Development, Introduction to Curriculum, ECE Curriculum Art Music, & Movement, and ECE Curriculum Language, Literature, Math, & Science. The reasons why I love being a sitter are too many to count, but include that I've always loved children and holding babies. They are so beautiful, innocent, funny, sweet, full of love and just want to be loved in return. Ever since I was little I always wanted to work with children and I've especially felt a connection with children on the spectrum.
