Hello! New to Sitter City, I am a young accounting professional with a masters degree in accounting, but my passions are all over the place. I volunteer once a week at horses help. I am a coach in the adaptive riding classes that gives me a unique opportunity in understanding kids that have different needs. I grew up with a mom that specialized in special needs teaching so I have a lot of compassion, empathy and patience. I am a fairly well rounded person that enjoys cooking, has pets of my own, enjoys the outdoors and practices yoga in my spare time. I’m just not a fan of lizards or the exotic pets. I’ve only had a hedge hog, dogs, cats and I grew up on a farm. I could go on and on about my different interests and hobbies, but I’ll stick with the meat and potatoes for now. Read more I do work full-time in my accounting position M-F and would only be available from 4pm- late evening or on weekends. The only day I would not be available would be Tuesdays for my volunteering unless it is a break week for the session. I am looking for babysitting opportunities for supplemental income as the economy has become more challenging for my future goals. My experience in childcare: I was a babysitter when I was in college & high school/in-home care as I was going to college. I was staying at a family friend's and they needed assistance with caring for their kids. This was for 2 years. Before that, I was a lifeguard/swim instructor during the summers and we would have classes with 1-5 kids at a time instructing class. I also had many opportunities as a recurring camp counselor for 4H summer camp that I had to supervise 10-15 kids making sure they had what they needed during their stay. It’s been less more recently as I have moved away from my hometown, so I don’t get to help out with my nieces as nephews as much. I would recommend a Sitter Log that I could create for your sitter needs. This would allow for me to communicate activities, incidents, potty breaks if training, time of arrival, time of departure, expectations, notes, Snacks, etc. The sitter log can be something you and your family can keep and update for other sitters or as time goes on and your family needs to add or change anything. I know how important it is to find care that you can trust. Please feel free to ask me anything or request a coffee meeting. I'm more than willing to customize and accommodate your needs and keep it a professional experience with care and kindness. Thank you!
