Hi my name is Kaitlin Young! I am nineteen years old and graduated from Batavia High School in 2023. I am now double majoring in social work and sociology at Hope College in Holland, Michigan. I plan to be a gerontologist in the future. My prior work experience includes employment as a day camp counselor at Fox Valley Special Recreation Association in Aurora for two summers. I worked with campers with varying disabilities from ages 5-10. I assisted and interacted with campers during field trips, swim days, crafts, and games. In high school, I took a Child Development class and a Child Care Lab. Under my teacher's supervision, I planned and taught developmentally appropriate activities for preschoolers ages 3-5 in the areas of art, math, language arts, and large motor. At Hope College, I took an elective Child Trauma class with Dr. Elizabeth Sharda. Some of my interests include dance, Read more writing, animals, being in nature, and music.
