I am currently a first grade teacher at Conestoga Christian School. I have five years experience teaching first grade. As a first grade teacher, I interact daily with my students in a structured learning environment. I provide lessons in all major subject areas, I seek to create a safe and warm learning environment, and I provide consistent classroom management to encourage the physical, emotional, social and intellectual development of the child. I am a 2020 graduate of Cedarville University, graduating summa cum laude with a 3.99 GPA. In addition to my experience as a first grade teacher, I have spent my summers working at Little Mates Daycare in the infant room as well as the pre-k room (ages 3-5). I have also been a nanny for two families. One family was from 2018-2020 and I was a nanny to a female toddler. I was also a nanny for a different Read more family from 2020-2022 on an as needed basis for a male preschooler. I am certified to teach in the state of Pennysylvania with an instructional 1 licenses. This allows me to teach Pre K through sixth grade. I am CPR certified and first aide certified by the American Red Cross. My certification is active until 2026. My certification includes training in both infant, child, and adult CPR. I enjoy working with children because I truly believe they are the future. We have a duty to invest in children by preparing them to be future leaders and innovators. We have knowledge and wisdom that we’ve gained from those that have invested in us and we need to pass that on to ensure our children’s futures are brighter and better than even our current reality. I believe children are sweet, fun, and the building blocks of our society. I consider it a privilege to work with children and I’m grateful for the many opportunities I’ve had to invest in the next generation.
