Hello! My name is Katherine and I recently graduated from Boston University where I earned my M.S. in Child Life and Family-Centered Care. I have extensive experience working with children with and without disabilities as I was an elementary school teacher for two years prior to starting graduate school. During graduate school, I also worked a teaching assistant in a special education school for students with complex medical needs. I am CPR/AED certified and I have strong background in child development. As a child life specialist, I am passionate about working with children and families in hospitals and other settings to help them cope with the challenges of hospitalization, illness, homelessness, and disability by providing providing developmentally-appropriate preparation, coping strategies, and opportunities for play and self-expression. Overall, I am very dedicated and passionate about working with kids! I would love to be able to apply my skills working in classrooms Read more to help out your child with homework or simply nurture their curiosity. I love supporting kids' natural wonder and creativity, and I also enjoy being active and being outdoors. In addition to kiddos, I also love furry friends! I have two kitties at home and I grew up with three dogs, so I am very comfortable around animals. I am very adaptable and am happy to help out any way I can!
