It’s such a pleasure to introduce myself! You can call me Shawnnie, and I’m deeply passionate about supporting children’s growth and development. With 5 years of hands-on childcare experience, I’ve had the privilege of working with wonderful families and creating lasting connections. My journey began with a family of three (four, if you count their sweet pup!). I started as an occasional sitter and eventually became their full-time nanny for three years, until they relocated. It was an incredible honor when they invited me to move overseas with them—a testament to the strong bond we shared. Additionally, during my time living in Nassau, Bahamas, I made babysitting a rewarding part-time job, supporting parents within the local community. Beyond nannying, I volunteered for three years at Jewett School of the Arts, where I gained invaluable experience. Before moving out of state, I was even offered a teaching assistant position—an opportunity I Read more was incredibly proud of. When it comes to working with children, I’m all about fun, creativity, and laughs. I love games and activities that inspire kids to express themselves while exploring the world around them. Sing-alongs are my favorite (especially classics!), and I’m excited to share that joy with little ones who love music as much as I do. I’ve recently started learning German and plan to tackle Japanese next, so working with little language learners would be a special treat.
