Hi! My name is Catherine Brown and I am a recent college graduate from Annapolis, MD. Working with kids has always been a passion of mine and goal in my future career path. I was a dance and gymnastics instructor for children the ages of 2-15. Being in this role taught me important skills and tactics when working with kids. Not only this, but I have two younger twin siblings that are 17 now and have cared for over the last three years due to my fathers illness; gaining life skills I could have never imagined. Catherine was a no-show. She did not show up, nor did she respond to the three texts and one phone call I sent her the day of the booking to confirm. So, she completely ghosted us. And as a result, my husband and I missed our evening event, and more frustratingly, we lost the $350 ticket price we paid for the event. Very unprofessional - and it came at a high cost to us tonight. This also reflects poorly on Sittercity, which I use only when absolutely desperate. Every time I try to hire a sitter through this site, I get burned. And it's not for a lack of information and clear communication on my part. Catherine knew what was expected for this booking and agreed to the job a week in advance. Remind me never to pay for this site again - I have never found a reliable sitter through it.
