Cielo has cared for our children for ~2 years, first as a preschool teacher for our son and most recently as a full-time nanny for our daughter Evelyn. If I were to summarize her qualities, I would say Cielo is loving, nurturing, communicative, industrious, punctual, and reliable. She is fully dedicated to Evelyn's development as a whole child (social, emotional, physical, and intellectual), and my husband (an educator) frequently comments on how strong she is at her craft. To walk you through a typical day, Cielo arrives on time each morning with a smile on her face and has never missed a day of work. She prepares a nutritious breakfast and is intentional about exposing Evelyn to new foods in a safe and purposeful way. She has a thoughtful set of activities planned each day that are as enriching as they are diverse. It is not uncommon for her to take Evelyn to the zoo or a museum, playgrounds and libraries, a child-friendly concert, and a performance all in a week. Cielo does a great job of keeping us in the loop throughout the day with pictures and is always excited to discuss Evelyn's milestones when she returns. It is obvious she loves her job and our daughter, and it is truly heartwarming to watch the two of them together.
