Hi there! My name is Adriana Carella (21), and I’m a junior at Oregon State University. I had my first son roughly nine weeks ago. Being a mother is so rewarding and to me. Although it is exhausting, it's incredibly fulfilling. My fiancé works is a former marine and works in a flight hangar for the time being. I am majoring in Hospitality Management and Tourism with a focus in Business Administration, and I am minoring in Spanish. I have a variety of different experiences, ranging from volunteering at the hospital and my church, to childcare, to hotel service. Beginning with childcare, before I had my son, I routinely cared for my six and nine year old nephews. Daily roles included playing with and reading with the children, going on walks, making snacks and lunches, changing diapers as needed, facilitating nap times, and so on. I have learned the most from mothering my own child, who was born mid November. At home, we have two dogs, Isla and Grace, who I routinely take on walks, feed, play with, and groom. I also worked at the Oxford Hotel in Bend, as both concierge, front desk, and night audit. I also simultaneously worked at Five Pine as concierge and front desk. While Five Pine won second best international hotel and resort in the United States on Trip Advisor, The Oxford won best in Central Oregon. I am proud of my accomplishments at both of these establishments. Before I entered into the hotel business, I worked at Black Butte Ranch at the Lodge and Robert's Pub, both as a server and a hostess. I simultaneously worked in events, preparing for weddings, funerals, and social gatherings. Other relevant experiences included housekeeping, where I cleaned, organised, and ensured proper sanitisation of vacation rental properties at Black Butte Ranch. This role required an acute attention to detail. After I love working with children, particularly young babies. After I obtain my bachelors degree, I plan on going to nursing school to become a Labor and Delivery Nurse.
